Staying fit is very important to me because keeps me healthy, happy, and strong! As you all know by now, I am petite. And because of that, many people underestimate my strength, which then gives me more motivation to work out! Ever since middle school, 7th grade to be exact, I tried out for cheerleading with my bestfriend. I loved it so much that I stuck with it until the end of high school. I never knew how flexible I could be, and because I was so small I was a flyer on the team. Doing stunts and staying active was the best choice I’ve ever made. I then also joined JROTC! I stayed very active and exercised a lot because I was part of the physical fitness team. One thing I will never forget is how my captain on the team would always make us run up big hills. At first I would complain, but he would always ask me “do you want sexy legs when you wear heels?” Of course my answer was “yes” so he said “then keep running up those hills! trust me, you’ll thank me one day.”

From that day forward, I made sure I stayed active and went to the gym if I wasn’t doing any outdoor activities because I wanted to be fit, feel good about myself, and see awesome results! If you know me, you know that I love leg day! So while I was cheering and doing JROTC, I also played lacrosse. So to me, it is second nature to stay active. Now that I am no longer in school, I gym just about 4 times a week and maybe more if I could find time. Not going to lie, there are days I get really lazy and just want to sleep. So yes, I do have my rest days 🙂 we all need it. I just find it comforting knowing I went to the gym, it is also a great way to release stress and the harder you work, the more results you’ll get!

Another important reason why I work out is to stay healthy, inside and out. I can feel the difference when I am not working out. I feel bloated, moody and my body starts to ache. Not working out can affect your body in so many negative ways especially if you’re like me who has a desk job working 8 hours or more a day. Your body is a temple so treat it with care! Remember to drink lots of water especially when you are working out! It helps keep you hydrated, and you’ll then be amazed at what water and working out can do to your skin!

So ask yourself, when was the last time you pushed yourself to your fullest limit? Get up and get out there, stay active and push yourself to do better because you are capable of doing anything and everything just as long as you put your mind in it.

Another great perk about working out is that I have an excuse to wear workout clothes! I love having cute workout clothes; and of course, they are super comfy to wear. Can’t forget comfortable shoes makes the workout more efficient.

So with this look, I wore a tank from Forever 21. I love back details on workout tops! Who said you can’t look cute while breaking a sweat!

I usually have on leggings but it was hot so I wore my Under Armour compression shorts. Makes it a lot easier to move around! Lastly, shoes from Skechers!

I was honored to receive them from Skechers! The pair I got was one of their back to school shoes. I love the fact that when I put these shoes on, I felt like I was walking on clouds! They are really comfortable! The sole of the shoes are memory foam. How cool is that? I also love the colorway, very easy to pair with any outfit. They have a clean look which I love. These shoes give me lots of support, more than I expected. Not only do I wear them to the gym, I wear it on weekends when I am out running errands. Another great thing about these shoes is that they are bouncy and breathable. I would recommend you all to get a pair for yourselves. I am so happy that I finally have one!

Let’s break a sweat!

Love, Linh
