Live To The Fullest

photo-feb-15-3-05-16-pmphoto-feb-15-3-08-16-pmphoto-feb-15-3-02-43-pm-1

Live like there is no tomorrow! Happy Monday my dears! Did you guys have a great weekend? I honestly did absolutely nothing this weekend but sleep and watch movies and tv shows. I know that sounds super lazy but it was so worth it! I never get enough sleep throughout the week and majority of my weekends tend to be full of photo-shoots and out exploring, however, I switched it up this weekend and decided to be lazy to do whatever I wanted and ate whatever I pleased.

Do you guys ever feel like you are not living your life to the fullest or live the life you want because you feel obligated to do other things? I know I do! I’ve been feeling this way for a very long time and I’ve started watching this new show on the CW call “No Tomorrow”. I recommend it to you all! It pretty much motivated me even more to do things I want to do and live like there is no tomorrow. Life is short so why not!

pexels-photo-59519Although, I understand it isn’t easy to do certain things on your list because of fear but once you get over your fear you will be able to do whatever it is you want to do with ease. Growing up I was always taught to have a stable life, settle down, and have a job and a family. Now a day at my age, I have seen many of my friends get engaged, married, and/or having/have kids. Quiet frankly, I have none of that going on for me and I’ve accepted that it is okay to not. The more I think about it the less pressure I feel to have that because at this time in my life, I still have so many things I want to accomplish before settling down. Don’t get me wrong; I do plan to settle down later on in life when the time is right. I love seeing my friends who are happy in their engaged/married life. It gives me hope that love still does exist and one day I will find mine. But in the mean time, I still have a bucket list full of things I want to do before settling down.

Let me paint a picture for you of my current lifestyle. I work an 8-5 job; I enjoy my job very much because I am working for a great company with great people. I live in a city full of strangers because I still consider myself new in Los Angeles, CA. I moved out here about a year and half ago for my new job and making friends is not so easy when I spend most of my days at work. By the time I get home, I go straight to blogging, which is also a career path I want to pursue on the side. If I am not blogging, you can often find me at the gym or out trying new restaurants. On weekends, I spend most of my Saturdays out doing a new shoot or catching up on sleeping, and having some me time. On Sundays, I call that my lazy day but it really isn’t, this is the time where I use to do house chores and personal things such as cleaning, laundry, and paying bills. Sounds exciting right? Haha not if you do it every single day and realized that time is passing you by. I think part of this is because I am turning twenty-five in less than a month. It is really hitting me knowing that I am getting a lot older than I want to be. I know most of you guys will say twenty-five is not old, but to me I think it is. One reason is because I am nowhere near where I want to be in life nor do I have a clear idea of my destiny. But who does? At times, I still feel lost not knowing which direction to take and it all comes down to me being afraid of failing.

However, one thing that I am so sure of is that I want to live my life to the fullest with no regrets. I want to be able to enjoy my life while still being able to keep up with my obligations. As much as I want to do absolutely nothing but travel the world for the rest of my life. I simply cannot, at least not right now. So in the mean time, if you find yourself in a pickle and stuck with your daily routine, why not live everyday to its fullest. What I mean by that is live everyday of your life like there is no tomorrow. I find myself asking these questions “Do you want to grow old and look back at your life wishing you could have done those things you wanted to but didn’t?” “Do you want to live life feeling like it is a chore and feeling stuck?” My answers to both of those questions were “No”. If you did too then let’s all do something about it!

You know that bucket list you’ve made for yourself many years ago? Take it out, dust it off, and start checking things off your list. If you don’t have one, make one! I am sure you can think of at least ten things that you want to do that you’ve never done before. Like me, I have a bucket list full of things I want to do, but I haven’t make time to cross out more things. I’ve let myself get caught up in my daily routine, and forget to live my life to the fullest. I have some big items on my list that I know I can’t do at this time, but it will eventually happen. So I start of with small items and build it up to the big item on my list. You don’t have to do it all in a couple months or a year. You can make a short-term list and a long-term list. Whatever it is you want to do just do it! The point is to add some excitement back into your life and live your life to its full potential. So below I will share with you some items on my bucket list with items that I’ve completed, and with items that I hope to cross off in the next couple of years, at least before I am thirty.

This post is so inspirational. I have a tendency to focus on my blog, school & work way to much but you have to work hard when you are trying to build a career. It’s easy to lose sight on everything going on around you so I love the way you remind us to live life to the fullest. And breaking it down into goals makes it look a lot more attainable.

Aww such a cute post darling. Love the positive vibes, and yes we all needs to live life to the fullest. I’ve done everything on your list beside 3,4,10,11,18, and 20. So i guess i need to get to it. I’m planning to go to Finland next year and stay in a glass igloo to see the aurora borealis. I don’t think i ever will do number 20 tho.

Ah I am seriously loving the positive vibes here! It must be hard to make a move to a new job but it’s so great that you have and are continuing to cross things off your bucket life! I believe the same! I have a quote that I keep in mind, “the moment my life flashes before my eyes, I want it to be worth watching.” It’s a little dark, in the sense of death but life is short and we should make use of every moment to pursue our dreams and just live! I definitely want to travel to many many places! And then smaller activities like zip lining, sky diving, and so forth. We’ll all get our chance soon 🙂

I absolutely adore this post and you, Linh! I am sure its not easy to leave everything behind and move to a new place to pursue our dreams (I have been there and done that and know the feeling). Love what you say about live life to the fullest, live like there is no tomorrow, we often forget to live in the moment which should not be the case. Hahahaha you call turning 25 old, you are kidding right? 😉
Great bucket-list btw and if you are in Portland, you have to come visit Seattle (now go add that to your list).

When reading this I felt it could have been me writing down all these thoughts as I’m quite lost in my life right now. I also have a wonderful job (9-5) and my colleagues are simply adorable and that’s what’s probably kept me going, but there is SO much more I want to do in life. I’m by no means envious of those who have “gone further” in life or neither am I bitter. I’m just so impatient. I want things to happen right now. Like I want to make it as a full time blogger so I can quit my day job and focus what I really love, that is, fashion and traveling! But like you said, maybe I should be happy with the smaller things I’ve already completed on my bucket list and try to be happy about where I am right now.
You’re such a sweetie and despite I’m a mess regarding my plans in a not so distant future I have my mind set up on actually checking every box on that bucket list too.
Thanks for an inspiring post babe!
    xoxo

I love your list. I’m going down it and marking things off as I go. 🙂 I’m from Canada, so that was already crossed off. I can never get enough of Europe and you have to do the cross country thing as soon as you get more than a month off. I did it last year and it was so much fun! While you do that you’ll definitely cross off multiple items off of your list. 🙂 I meant to fly into Vietnam 6-7 years ago when I was in Thailand but I actually forgot the majority of my cash back in Hong Kong at my aunt’s place, so I didn’t end up going. I hope you visit soon. That would be amazing. 🙂 I love that you published your bucket list. I always keep mine pretty under wraps. lol

I feel you babe. I was in the exact shoes a few years ago, when I moved quite a lot for work and I had this demanding corporate job that worked be 14-16 hours a day…I asked myself was that really the life I wanted ? So I decided to fit as much as can in my life so I can live to the fullest! Guess what, I was completely wrong about it from the hindsight. I tried to fit everything in my life at once, long hours of work, social life, traveling, exercises and sports, trying new acitivities, exploring new places and countries… in the end, I realised that I was constantly on the go and I had strengthen myself so thin that I ended up cherished and enjoyed nothing, because I constantly worried about what shall I do next instead of being focused on the present moment. I hope you don’t overflood yourself with too many things at once 😉 life is long journey, we have a whole life time to do thing babe. Hope you get to tick up your Bucket list one by one with quality experiences !

Oh man, you’ve definitely inspired me to find my bucket list again. I know visiting Paris is at the top of the list (and now Santorini/Mykonos as well). I’d also love to go out to LA to see all my blogger friends that I’ve never met in person. Hopefully a few of these things will happen soon! I loved reading your list and can’t wait to see what you accomplish next!
